Sat morning hike

Today we decided to go check out one of the waterfall that we’ve heard is down the road. It’s called Gordon Creek Falls. Looking back, it’s pretty crazy that they advertise this in the local brochure. (yes, we’re being tourists still!) The directions to get there were enough to scare you.  At times driving there I thought it might be best to just go somewhere else. But we were within cell phone reach for all you worriers out there (Mom). We know this because a friend called while we were on the side of a cliff backing the vehicle down a dirt road. But we made it…We are actually very careful though it doesn’t sound like it. We can admit when the Kansans are going to be in too deep. Here are a few pictures of the frozen falls.

It was interesting the topic at Canyonlands Fellowship in Moab this week. Good verses for me.

Jehoshaphat and his people are being attacked. They are in a panic but they decide to turn to God.
2 Chronicles 20:12 “…we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you”
then vs. 15
“…Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.”

That’s a relief to me that I should turn it over to God when I am scared to death & don’t know what to do. Just gotta keep my eyes in the right direction.

Arches National Park 2012

Hike #2 on Saturday 2/11/12 The Landscape Arch. It’s much bigger than in looks in the pictures. A few years ago part of the arch came crashing down and people that were up there ran for cover. Since then, they don’t let you go up under the arch. My point: you can’t put someone under the arch to show the world just how big the arch is.

Today we took a tour of Guggenheimer where I work. Went to the White Hart Cafe. Walked in the cemetery. Went up to the Liberty Mountain monogram. Fun. Here are some pictures.
